Eduardo Muñoz Bachs, Valencia, 1937 - Havana City, 2001. Self-taught designer. Around 1960, he started to work at ICAIC as designer at department of animated. He designed his first ICAIC poster for movie ´Historia de la Revolución´. He is considered the most prolific Cuban designer of movie posters. His artwork has been exposed in Cuba and abroad and is also part of some permanent exhibittions. He was UNEAC member, receiving Distinction for National Culture and ´Raúl Gómez García´ Medal. Among his prizes for movie poster we can highlight: Prize to Merit. International Contest of Movie Posters, Ottawa (1972); Prize to Merit. International Contest of Movie Posters at International Film Festival, Cannes, France (1973); International Great Prize of Posters. First International Cinematographic Festival, Paris (1975); First and Third Prizes at Contest of Hollywood Report (1978); Second Coral Prize of Poster at Third Havana Film Festival (1981); Great Coral Prize at Fifth Havana Film Festival for the whole posters presented at Third Latin American and Caribbean Contest of Cinematographic Posters (1983); Prize at Contest of Hollywwod Report (1984), Mention at Sixth Havana Film Festival (1984); First Coral Prize at Seventh Havana Film Festival (1985); Second Coral Prize at Eighth Havana Film Festival (1986), First Coral Prize at Tenth Havana Film Festival (1988).
